Today I decided to jump online an visit amazon.co.uk to see what christmas sales and deals were available, while browsing I discovered a brand new section recently added to the site titled "MP3 Downloads Store". I knew the main amazon.com site had a similar section but wasn't available for use to people outside of USA, so now great news for us here in the UK.

The "MP3 Downloads Store" helps you find the music you want by dividing into 3 easy steps:

  1. Discover, browse or search - your favourite albums, songs or artists and preview by listening to a 30 second sample
  2. Buy and Download - choose entire albums or individual songs/tracks
  3. Manage your music - being in mp3 format once downloaded you can organise, store and play the music on whatever device and application you choose to use.

Check out Getting started amazon mp3 for more detail on how to use the new section.

Deciding to give the new section a try, I did a general search using the title "Lord of The Rings" and the initial search brought back a screen with findings organised together and showing the available albums, artists and songs. Click Lord of The Rings MP3  to see the current LOTR music available on amazon.co.uk

One of the things I like about the MP3 store is the ability to choose individual songs to buy and download. It gives you the freedom to select and buy the songs from an album you enjoy while, download it straight away, save money purchasing those songs and not paying for the whole album with songs your not keen on.

Have you tried out the amazon mp3 store? leave your comments on what you think of it.
